All I can remember of this film is that its a teen comedy set in a US high school. Its about a girl who is overweight and a complete social reject. Then she decides to give herself a huge makeover over summer vacation. She learns how to apply make up, gets contacts and loses weight. She then fakes some documents and enrolls herself back into her high school, but as a French foreign exchange student.
I think there is also a boy in this film who is her equally nerdy friend. She helps him pose as an Italian exchange student. I'm a bit fuzzy on this though.
I *think* also, that she wins the lead in the school musical (beating the then popular girl) and has to sing "If My Friends Could See Me Now". On the opening night she gets outted...possibly by the girl she beat to get the role.

It's called "Student Exchange" released in 1987 as a made for TV film. Lead actor is Todd Field and the lead actress is Viveka Davis and Heather Graham is in it too.

Le Grand Chemin (The Grand street) I each and every so often visit Blockbuster and %. ones that seem thrilling. I even have seen 5-7 of them and could't undergo in concepts the names, one some couple who meet online and function an ongoing affair in a hotel, one some youthful lady who performs piano competitively and is sabotaged by using yet another contestant, (somebody right here could comprehend the plot and be responsive to the names.) i think of as a usual rule, foreign places movies are plenty greater effective than maximum American video clips I see. there is greater of a plot and the appearing seems plenty greater real and real, not something seems forced. And the accents purely seize me into the story that somewhat greater!

it is not a title worth the mention nor criticism(arguably one of the worst title i've ever seen).. n i could be wrong
