not really...a bit out of fashion to match-if you're young. If you're an adult-male-I gather,then it doesn't really matter since the pants would cover your socks,wouldn't they? For professionalism try to stick to the basic dark blue,black,brown etc. Especially if you have to take off your shoes for meeting with Superiors,colleagues,clients...BUT just remember- DO match the colour of your shoes to your clothes(here your pants)!! You'd appear taller,neater,NiCeR:)

YES! It's realllllllly important.
You can't wear white socks and a black suit... That's going to look horrid.
The shoes don't have to match the bag.. but make sure the shoes and bag both match the outfit.

in some religions the parents believe this way I knew of a few when i was growing up and the mother would let her daughter wear shorts but under her dress or shirt she was to never wear shorts or pants alone. Some people just believe this way and some parents just feel their children should always look nice. I have heard of parents that feel a dirty child will never amount to anything but a bum. I don't feel it really matters what a child wears depending on the event it is nice to dress up for church or special events.

It's mainly the shoe I know of. Accessories should match. Either tie, belt, and shoe or shirt and shoe

it can be a way to have fun...match the sox to the shirt for a little unexpected splash of colour...match the sox to the trousers of a suit for a conservative look...
so, in summary, i would say, "you bet it's important!"

well you shouldn't wear purple socks with a white and black outfit, u know?!?!?! But i would wear white socks, cause white matches everything!!

It is important, depending on where your going? For example, if your going out w/ your friends to the movies, than make it fun. If your on business than it's up to you to if you want to make it simple.
