How does Leslie die in the movie Bridge to Terabithia?

I read the book but does she die the same way in the movie?

My 10-year old daughter & I just saw the movie yesterday. It was so sad. While Jess was at the museum w/his music teacher, Leslie tried to go across the creek to Terebithia by herself. As she she swung over on the old rope, it broke & she fell into the stream. In the movie, Jess finds out that she drowned (face down in the creek, I suppose) because she hit her head & was unconscious after falling from the broken rope. We were crying our eyes out!

particular, Leslie does die in Bridge To Terabthia because of the fact Jesse's father says she replaced into attempting to swing on the rope tthat leads to Terabithia however the rope broke and shed drowned interior the lake under. and additionally we never see Leslie interior the action picture lower back.

I read the book, In the book, Leslie falls off the bridge into the river and drowns, however, I have not seen the movie, therefore, they may have changed how she dies. I am fairly sure she drowns yes, but not 100%

i took my 4 year old daughter to see it and we both cried and I'm a 30 year old 210 pound man. she swings across the rope that take you to terabithia and the rope breaks and she hit her head on a rock

idk..i read the book (really sad btw)..but uhh..yah wouldnt it kinda ruin the point if they changed that in the movie??..so yah i havent seen the movie but i hope they didnt change it
