We have seen many trolls who post insults disguised as questions and post answers which are misogynistic in nature, do you think they carry these judgements offline to the women around them, like if they have a girlfriend, wife, mother, sister, boss or female friends/ colleagues? They can't possibly avoid interaction with women. Or is it just an online thing they do?

Not to the extent you see here...they are too cowardly for that. There are different kinds of misogynists here...the kind that got in a fight with his girlfriend/wife and didn't win, so comes here to take his ineffectual anger out on others. (Hey, I guess it's better than slapping her around, eh?)...they are "part time" misogynists," and come here with questions like "Are women 'genetically' bitchy?" or "Why are men so superior?"...Everything that they didn't have the guts to say to HER face.
Then there's the ones that can't get a woman at all...and hates what he can't have. He's fearful of women in general, and blames THEM for his lack of "success." These are the "victim" misogynists...the ones that blame women for everything that is wrong with the world. But he will not go out and announce his hatred to the world. He will keep his distance, and loathe them while he wishes he could have them.
Then there are those, (as someone else suggested) who have very low self-esteem, and have built their entire self-identity around the premise that women are inferior...they are much like the racist...they need to feel superior to SOMEONE, and so have chosen an entire segment of the human population...ya' know just for good measure. They are probably the most vocal about their misogyny outside of the Internet. Their sense of entitlement has led them to believe they are completely justified. They are also more likely to be your classic sociopath...one of the main characteristics of a sociopath is deprecation of the opposite sex.
And "Alexandra" needs to open her eyes...I guess people only see what they want to see?

Very few people are the same person on line as off line. There is a certain anonymity conferred by the web and thus people tend to be more radical in speech and viewpoint.

Most people who have misogynistic or misandrist leanings come to vent online [here and elsewhere] and those feelings still exist offline. Those feelings tend to impact how they interact with people of the opposite sex and they often end up just reinforcing their misogyny/misandry without realizing that what they send out in the world comes back to them 10 times over.

A misogynist can have a decent relationship with mother, sister, aunties, etc but often they have self fulfilling relationships with other women. They see women as something to be conquered rather than a partner. The same is true of misandrists.

You always have excellent comments and I am glad that you post questions and answers that are sensible. Personally I believe the majority of boys that post here have serious issues with intimacy or relationships. I don't believe they have one and the only way they can get any type of attention is through posting questions that will garner them negative attention from females. There are others like Cassius who is obviously dealing with the end of a relationship and has become very bitter over what he feels are the injustices that accompany it. Smially is just strange. Tanks is young and I think bored. Happy Bullet is scared of women and has to post in the guise of Baba to try and demean and denigrate all females. He feels this is the only way that he can have some sort of feeling of power in his life. The rest of just very unhappy and misery loves company. I don't think they would dare act in this manner around the women in their lives or their mum's would never clean their rooms again. If they behaved like that in public they would be up on sexual harassment charges or perhaps threatening others.

Thanks for posting a thought provoking question for a change, instead of a rant. I wonder how many people are currently off their meds?

Yes they do carry their judgements offline.

They may or may not say or do anything misogynistic offline, but anyone who carries an ideology of hate (whether misogyny or racism etc.) carries it with them wherever they go - otherwise they would not have that personal ideology in the first place.

The internet allows for trolls to spew their hate because they are essentially invisible (annonymous) and no one can "hit back" so to speak. It is a power trip because they do not have to deal with the consequences of their actions like they would in real life.

It's cowardly and pathetic, but that is just how trolls/misogynists are.

And about misandtists? Yes, misandrists carry their judgements offline. Do you know why?
Because while misoginy is considered a terrible thing misandry is completelly acceptable.
Sometimes the guys are not even being misogynistc, they are just telling the truth about women, but you cant accept truth and call them misogynists.

I think that most of the misogynists online cannot get away from their nursery school teachers and Mommies long enough to seek out real women with which to communicate. I'll bet their average age is 9.
IQ is lower.
Good luck.

Well, I see and personally experience this all the time, just like you-- online, it is unfiltered and shameless because they arent telling us to our faces. Bu tin their minds, they REALLY think this, or else they wouldnt be saying it!!
And this is why women have trouble getting equal treatment in society- because deep down inside, men hate women and are against them, and will try their hardest to oppress them- they feel for some reason women dont deserve humane treatment or respect.
Yes, they have girlfriends and wives, and those are women who actually agree with the man's philosophy, though she may outwardly say that she doesnt-- inside she is under the influence of popular society's bashing of women, and misinterpretation of the women's movement as one that inadvertently only benefits the man.

Add

This happens because men actually fear women. Their entire male identity and self-concept is based on the false peremise that male is superior; so therefore if women do or say anythign that contradicts that belief, they become threatened and their only defense is to 'fight' the threat, rather than attempt to understand what is behind the woman's actions, or, assume for a moment that perhaps their premise is false.
Think of what women represent to men: the dissolution of their very self and existence-- because their life has been built upon this idea that man is great. Of course they're scared of us!! So of course they will fight back, and they think hatefully toward us. They dont understand what is gping on inside of themselves.

Hmmm, many possible answers to this, but I suspect that these types are dominated in their day to day lives by strong female presences, mothers, wives, girlfriends etc, and come to sites like this to vent that which they feel unable to do with the real people around them.

Don't feel too strongly about it, more of a gut-feeling.

With all the blatant misandry from feminists, is it any wonder that men come here and defend themselves? Some of the mens' questions and answers are serious debate and some are humour as we cannot take much of what is said here seriously.

The internet is the only place men are able to communicate to a wider audience what they really think about feminism because of political correctness in society...for now. Unfortunately, it is ok to bash men mercilessly, but if we disagree, all we get are shame tactics and insults...just look above for examples (and now Croa below!)...and sadly some of these shamers are men themselves, male feminists! lol

You will find most anti-feminist men don't believe men are superior to woman, just different. It is about equal opportunity, not equal outcome.

Why don't you try finding a misogynist that lives near you and find out? lol

EDIT

Some may, some may not. However, it sems not, Eminem (allegedly accused of misogyny) has made a few songs with mysoginic comments in them. So much for your theory.

Didn't YOU say generalization was bad?
