For those of you who think the USA is some sort of scourge on the planet, have you ever considered what the world would be like without it?
Just take the USA out of 20th century history. How much ethnic cleansing would have taken place? Where would freedom of expression exist? What kind of medical advances would have occurred? How much more stravation and human suffering would exist?
It amazes me that so many Americans think the USA is exploiting the world for reasons of greed. The fact is, what we contribute to the world comes at a cost. When our needs are fulfilled, the world benefits as well.
Is this exploitation or a symbiotic relationship?

You would have to go back hundreds of years to the mentality of nation building and mass slaughter of indigenous people . Either by design like plague invested blankets given to the indians or by accident like the spread of communicable illnesses . The common cold could kill millions . Everyone is affected .
So if conquering and enslaving others is what people feel is fair then America is truly the greatest nation on earth . We will spread our empire around the globe dominating all who stand in our way .
Funny it has been the contributions of the average man that was exploited by the rich and powerful to increase their own wealth .
If wealth at any cost is what you seek America is the place for you .
If your plan is to profit off the work and wages of others America is for you .
There is no room for true compassion caring and equality in america . It is all about the almighty dollar and protecting your own bottom .

Symbiotic. The revolution is just taking longer than we thought. Capitalism can only last another 100 to 200 years.

it seems to me that the current situation is more like the U.S.A. should just take the extortion from 3rd world dictators, and when we don't like it,it's turned to take the "big rich bully" appearance. ya follow?

kyoto, iran, n korea--all extortion. and with our "buddies" like china and russia helping us out soooo wellll...it will just continue. ( they're not extorting their markets, right?)
