Does this man know it's the fans that make baseball it's money? This guy is like a relic left from the dark ages, why is this guy in charge? Do fans have any say in getting this jack-a-ninny out?

I think Yankee Dude has it right on. Selig is a puppet whose strings are being manipulated by the owners. He's been dancing to their tune far too long. What baseball needs and has needed for the last 10-12 years is another Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis. Every baseball fan knows his story about how after assuming the post of commissioner (1921-44) he cleaned up baseball via the "Black Sox Scandal" and restored public confidence in the game. Selig could have taken care of this 'roids problem a long time ago and the game would be a lot more respectable. But, gee... where would the comedians get their material?

No, fans do not have a direct way of getting him out.

The only way would be by making the owners' income drop by not going to MLB games, not purchasing MLB gear, and worse for them, give the attention, support, and money that would have been given to MLB to other sports.

Oh, and by the way, if DirecTV and MLB think that I would be willing to give up a cable subscription that I am very happy with in exchange for a poor satellite service that can go out when it rains just so that I can see a few games and have a baseball channel in 2009 that I probably won't care about, then they must have squirrels in their heads, to say the least...

We can't do a thing. He could be removed by a vote of the owners (I forget if it's a simple majority or 2/3), but that doesn't seem likely to happen.
