Yes, just as soon as Fascists are abolished.
Good luck.

I don't think there is really any need for it. If people treated others with respect, acknowledging our differences and our diversity, there would be no need for the term.
Being sensitive to the thoughts, feelings, life style, heritage and history of others would make for a more polite society.
Unfortunately, there are so many boobs out there who are so crude, disrespectful; who use perjoratives and racial slurs. It makes one wish that they be made to take classes in humanity.
If we looked at each other as fellow humans instead of something different or strange, it would help.

Absolutely!
It mostly encourages people to lie, omit truths, stretch the truth and more (basically do things known to be against justice from the beginning of time)...to meet standards for "political correctness"...PLUS IT MAKES LIFE BORING AND UNPRODUCTIVE: HOW CAN YOU BECOME BETTER AND STRONGER WHEN YOU CAN'T KNOW/LEARN-FROM THE WHOLE TRUTH BECAUSE IT SUPPOSEDLY "MIGHT OFFEND YOU"?!.
WHAT DEFINES POLITICAL INCORRECTNESS CAN BE QUITE CONFUSING...SOME PEOPLE MISTAKE OFF-TOPIC USAGE (SAY INSULTING SOMEONE FOR GRAMMAR AND NOT ANSWERING THEIR QUESTION) AS POLITICAL INCORRECTNESS...
THIS ACTION IS NOT BAD BECAUSE IT'S POLITICALLY INCORRECT (IT ISN'T), BUT BECAUSE IT UNDERMINES THE PURPOSE OF THE SITE. SOMEONE ANSWERING "WHAT DO YOU THINK OF BILL CLINTON?" BY YELLING OBSCENITIES, WHILE BEING CONSISTENT WITH SITE USAGE, IS POLITICALLY INCORRECT YET I WILL SHOW NO DISGUST FOR IT BEING THERE...BECAUSE IT'S ON TOPIC.
If someone is racist, she should not be limited to not using the N word, rather, she should use it and let non-racists people know directly she is biased and not to be trusted on that issue. She should have her/uncensored voice...even if its result is that she is increasingly ignored or discredited.
If someone is a criminal that person will often disguise himself as a charity worker, nun...in order to defy a criminal image. What would you rather have...he express himself as himself so you can run or him being politically correct so you don't know who he really is?

I think it would be absolutely wonderful if everyone was allowed to state their personal opinions, truthfully and honestly, and adults were actually required to be responsible for their own feelings.
Sadly, this society does not teach people to be responsible for their own feelings. People don't have the skills or training to be able to remain objective, or to grant that opinions vary. So, we've created this whole artificial system of being polite so that nobody's feelings get hurt.

the idea of being pc was to prevent lawsuits and bad feelings, a kind of cant we all get along attitude. Of course in a country with too many lawyers and special interest groups the whole concept has been warped into a joke.

we've gotten to the element the place we could babysit all of us's thoughts, whether they overreact. we could seem at issues interior the context they have been meant, no longer what they "ought to" have meant. I confront problems each and all the time because of the fact I even have epilepsy. I comprehend that persons each so often don't comprehend that it particularly is in simple terms yet another affliction to artwork around. it particularly is whilst i'm fired because of the fact "What in case you had a seizure in front of a customer?" (and particular, a financial company president advised me that as quickly as he fired me) that i'm getting disillusioned.

We'd need to define it first and then decide. If it's mostly politeness and courtesy, we'd need to decide whether we wanted to be a ruder society than we already are. If it's a type of political speech, we'd need to debate whether we should limit free speech.
