it sounds like what you are doing is the best way you can handle it. people like that have to be given enough rope to hang themselves. it is annoying and ruins the work enviornment i know. i have been there many times. chances are that talking to the boss will not make a difference. just give him a little time, he is get his self in trouble. just try to ignore him the best you can. hope this helps. good luck.

Talking to the boss or discussing this employees behavior with others generally does not help and may make YOU look like the trouble-maker. Unfortunately, if he's been there a long time it's unlikely that he'll leave or even get "caught". If he is stealing from the company in a way that he could get "caught with the goods" alert security or Human Resources that some of the goods have been missing and perhaps a better security system could be put in place. If you can come up with a suggestion, all the better but DO NOT mention him by name as you will set yourself up once again. Hope this helps.

I know exactly what your talking about. I worked with a guy who was a real Jerk, annoyed me all the time, harassed me constantly, I told my supervior about it and nothing happened. I ended up getting fired, because this guy like to complain that I talked to another guy more than I did him, which brought attention to me and they ended up firing me instead of him, which he was on his 3rd and final write up and he made another offense after that and I ended up getting fired... so now I'm going to the EEOC and filing a complaint agaist the company. Ya, you need to make sure you distance yourself from this guy and let him dig his own hole, don't try to do anything or it could cause you to lose your job.

Oh and I work with a few of my older brothers so that makes it doubly annoying! LOL

To speed things up...talk about him with other coworkers...how do they feel about him...if y'all get talking someone's got to notice (the boss?)
