Designer pets, selective abortion to have designer babies, scheduled C-sections so that birth does not interfer with plans, or "ruin" a woman's body. Where will the insanity end?

Tomhale, my ojection is to unnecessary C- sections. I have two kids One natural, one C-section, the C-section was much harder to recover from. The designer Babies I was referring to are the ones that can now be chosen based on their physcal features,I.E height, eye, and skin coloring and gender(science is working on this). NOT unwanted pregnancies, or birth defects.

Science and technology will continue to advance whether we like it or not. This progress will -- or perhaps already has -- given us choices which have engendered debate about morals and ethics.

Because we really can't stop this progress, we have to rely more and more on our individual ability to chose right from wrong. We will look with disappointment on the choices some will make. But we can't stop them from making those choices -- other than to convince them of their error.

It's the nature of freedom. And that makes for a little more chaos than we are comfortable with. But the alternative is unacceptable.

well, welcome to the 20th century, many people see this as progrees, not insanity, and why not? No sense having deformed or unwanted offspring, and why have an oldfashioned birth when it will ruin plans and the body. They didnt do this in the old days cause they were ignorant and backwards and didnt konw how. If you dont like it, dont do it, mind your own business and dont judge others.

it will end when women become aware that these thing are not helpful or useful to them and they once again believe that they should let nature take its own course.

it will end when women want it to end.
