Im assuming glue would be best. I just dont know what kind? If you could give me any idea of how I could do this, I would greatly appreciate it!

Assuming the needlepoint is finished (no raw edges), you can use either fabri-tac or white tacky glue to adhere it to the journal. Be careful not to use too much glue. You don;t want it to ooze up between the stitches on the needlepoint.

Why not get a small frame of some sort and secure it really good in there. Then glue the frame to the front of the book. Depending on what kind of surface the book is, would depend on the glue. If you have a cardboard cover like those marble composition books, then I would think that hot glue would work. If it's a shiney cover then maybe 2 sided tape. If it's fabric, hot glue would also work.

I would use a cardboard mat and glue the mat onto the book with the needlework in between.

You could use a hot glue gun.

maybe double sided tape arond the edges aand in the middle
