I've found UV lights with as low as 6 Watts of light but I'm looking for something smaller or close to 1 Watt. This would most likely have to be an LED light, but I haven't found any UV LED lights that will kill micro-organisms. From what I've read the LED needs a wavelength of light between 250 to 260 nanometers (nm) to have the most powerful bactericidal effect of ultraviolet light.

And u will not find it. U got your work cut out for u. I need a little more info but there is a natural algae killer that requires no battery. It is used in small parks where fish live in. It is barley straw. It works great and doesn't harm the fish.

Why do you need a 1 volt bacteria killer? Go ahead and buy a 9 volt battery and put a required resister with correct amt. ohms.
