This sounds like a video driver issue, try to reinstall your video drivers. Right click on my computer on the Desktop, go to properties, click on hardware tab, and select Device Manager, look at your display adapter properties, reinstall the drivers. That should fix your problem.

Hi - right click on desktop - go to properties - settings - and make sure "screen resolution" is set to a low level.

If that doesn't work then as ppl have said it's probably your video card or its drivers or something

Mortis is correct it is a video driver issue and it usually better to go directly to the company website and download updated drivers because the CD is not up to date.
