It's a question worth entertaining, though unlikely to be of practical use. If the world were merely in our heads (including from your perspective, me typing this message) would it make any difference to the decisions you made? You'd still have the same sensations, "information" to work with.

A clue that the world isn't merely in our minds is the ability to be surprised. The times when the world is utterly different from the believed or expected. "I didnt think it was loaded" is probably one of the most basic, and tragic of those situations.

That would leave another possible divide, however: between the whole of our mind, and the little bit of it of which we are consciously aware.
There's the bit of me that does crossword clues while I'm asleep, for a tiny example, so when I come back to a puzzle after a gap of a day, I've done a few, though I haven't consciously thought about them. Who is this "I"? is one of the big questions, too.

On a day like this, it's a necessity to do something to pamper yourself. How about a long conversation with a good friend, a double matinee, a good book or maybe a refreshing beverage? Hey, why not all of those? who cares if it's reality as long a it feels good !
