I have applied to Yale and am super anxious about hearing back from them. But my question is how does Yale infrom thier applicants that they got in. Is it just a regular small envelope, a large envelope? Or, my friend got in to MIT and they sent her a tube that when opened spewed out confetti, does Yale do anything like that?

Thnaks for any answers

Well, seeing as to how I applied to Yale last year (and was rejected), I can tell you how you will receive your response. You can check it online at their website, which is the fastest way (thought their server will be really busy and it might take you a few hours to get through and see if you have gotten in). And they also send you just a regular small envelope by mail. My friend also got into MIT, but he never said anything about an amazing confetti tube. Just a word to the wise, however, one of my friends got into Yale, but he said that before he got into Yale, he was invited to some sort of Yale tour/dinner a month or two beforehand (which I never was), so if you have not been invited, or are not invited at least a few weeks before, don't raise your hopes. That's all I know though. Good luck!

Most colleges reply with a large envelope or a thick one with many papers...basically, if it's a small thin envelope you probably didn't get in. My college sent a large envelope with a tshirt and dvd tour of campus included.
