Hello there, I am fairly new to charting, and this is my 3rd cycle doing so. I was wondering if anyone has been able to tell by looking at their chart before they have missed a period that they have ovulated. My high temps this month are a bit higher than they have been in past months. Is it possible to know from that? Or do they generally vary from month to month? I am currently only 8dpo, and going nuts.

I meant if you can tell if you are pregnant! Not ovulated, I know that I have ovulated. I am currently at 8 DPO

If your temperatre raises at least .4 degree between a 48 hour time period. You probably ovulated the day before it started to raise. That is if your Temperature stays up at least 10-14 days after that. If you draw a chart you can draw a line between your lower temperatures and your higher temperatures. You should get your Period on day 14 or 15 of high temperature. If it stays up to day 18 get a pregnancy test done. (Mine was positive yesterday)
My temperature was also higher after I ovulated this cycle then the cycle before. Abour .2 degree higher then the other cycles.
Best of Luck to you!

Its not 100% but they say if your temp stays high for 18 days after ovulation there is a chance you are pregnant....If you are not, your temp will drop down either the day before or the day of your period....I have been charting mine and so far I know when I ovulated and I knew when my period was going to start and it was right on track.....Good Luck!

If you are pregnant, your temp should stay high until it's time to take the test. If it's still high after 2 wks, try an at-home preg. test.
