I'm going out to dinner at a trendy restuarant and I'm not sure what to wear. I was thinking nice dark washed jeans, a sem-fitted black top and some black boots. I was going to play up my outfit with some gold jewerly (real gold) that I have, and maybe a black or gold clutch for a bag.
What do we think? Jeans a bad idea?

I like the idea but you are going realllllly dark. Then if you place some bright gold on you, you may stick out kinda uglyish.
I'd say do the dark jeans and pick a semi lighter top to off set the dark. Go for one that's good with your skin tone and the jeans and it's going to bring out your eyes and complexion.
Then throw in the gold jewelry and the clutch and you'll look great.

For a trendy restaurant I think jeans are a good idea. For a posh restaurant u would probably want to go more dressy, but from what you've said jeans do sound appropriate, and the outfit you've described sounds quite cool so i'd say go with that.

well, thts prolly too much black.
u shud wear a black tanktop under any white half jacket u can find (long or short).
or a white tank top w/ a black half jacket
the boots, good idea. also the gold & the purse. ;D
&the jeans, gotta GO.
wear black dress pants w/white pin stripes to match ur upper part. add any gold belt. fake or real. just as long as its as gold as the jewelry! ;D

Jeans are definitely a bad idea. It's always better to over dress than to under dress. Black slacks with a white top and gold jewelry will give you a relaxed but elegant look.

no that sounds really nice.. Casual comfortable.
not the gold clutch though.. go with the black one.
I don't think you would feel over or under dressed..
But now adays as long as you are comforatble anything goes.

it is really your decision, if he does not like your choice of what you wear, he isn't the guy for you. Though I think that a dress would be nice.
