and you are using downy fabric softener are you supposed to put in in with the clothes after adding the detergent or are you supposed to put in the place that your washing maching calls for it? I have used the downy ball and I dont think I like it cause after a wash there is still downy in the ball. And how much should I add in with the load?

Fabric Softner is suppose to be added in the Rinse cycle. It does not do any good to put it in in the wash cycle.

This question should have been in the cleaning category. You are probley going to get some rude answers for putting it in this one

If at home, listen to the washer filling back up after the first rinse cycle, then add your softener. If at the laundry...usually there's a place to add so you don;t have to worry about it. I never liked the downey balls either. I like to add extra to make everything smell good. Just bought Downey' s new fragrance. Tahitian Waterfall....smells awesome!

in the place that your washing machine calls for, but then it can get all icky... so instead pour some downy on a wash cloth, not soaking wet though and toss that in the dryer with the clothes. Better yet get those dryer balls instead, you save money and they honestly work.. yes the do..♥

well Jetty....if you have a fabric softner dispenser you can put downey at the start of the load...if not pour downey on clothes during the last rinse.... with a downey ball fill and drop in at the start of the load..
