There are many good magazines, but it depends what styles they have in them at the time, whether they will be what you want for yourself. Flip through them, till something catches your eye.
Also, check out this great website, if you want to do your light plate covers. This artist does amazing work, and does custom work as well.

some of the newer mags, geared toward economy decor are Domino and Blueprint. Blueprint is published by Martha Stewart's RealSimple mag, and Domino is published by Lucky magazines.
For more upscale decorating ideas, I love Wallpaper magazine. It focuses on Archetecture, Fashion, and Design. (published in London, but available in the US) www.wallpaper.com
