This clear breast milk is nothing to be alarmed about. It is actually very helpful to the newborn baby. This milk is called colostrum. It will change to regular breast milk soon after giving birth, around day 4.
"Your colostrum provides not only perfect nutrition tailored to the needs of your newborn, but also large amounts of living cells which will defend your baby against many harmful agents. The concentration of immune factors is much higher in colostrum than in mature milk."
Don't worry. It is completely normal. I thought the same thing with my second child. Congrats on the pregnancy and enjoy the little one once it is born. They grow up way too fast!

Don't worry! your body is still in the manufacturing process ...
Once the baby arrives, the milk will be what it should be for your little one. While on the subject, if you are going to breast feed, keep a few things in mind for when the baby comes...
1. What you eat affects the baby. What I mean is; if a certain food (beans, broccoli, etc.) gives you gas and you eat it, your milk could give the baby gas. This can cause discomfort for the baby. Try to keep this in mind when you eat.
2. Strongly flavored foods and spices, like onions or curry, can make the milk taste different to the baby. This can make the baby fussy when you are having a feeding.
Just after you give birth, the body begins to return to a pre-pregnancy state. The uterus will begin to tighten & 'shrink' back to it's usual size. At this time, the stomach begins to tighten with it and your body starts to 'go back to normal.'
Breast feeding naturally releases a hormone that signals the body to make this happen. For the first few days, you might experience a cramping when you breast feed. It is normal.
Just focus on the importance of the breast feeding and remember that the cramps have a purpose, they are making your tummy tighten up again!
Good luck and good health!

Many women experience some leakage of colostrum during pregnancy, often beginning around the fifth or sixth month. Other women never leak colostrum, though it is still being produced within their breasts.
Your body will produce colostrum for your new baby during her first three to four days of life, transitioning into mature milk by the time she is about two weeks old. There is no reason to worry about your colostrum being "used up." Milk is made within your breasts as your baby nurses. She will have all she needs if she is put to your breast early and often. Best of luck with your baby-to-be!

Its not milk yet. Colostrum, or pre-milk is the super protein rich stuff that baby feeds off of before the milk comes in. Contrary to popular belief, milk doesn't come in right away. It can take up to 5 days! Don't worry. A lot of women don't even get colostrum before delivery. I got mine at 18 weeks with the twins! Best of luck to you.

the milk that you are seeing is called colostrum. it is the first milk that the baby will eat. it is good that it is coming out now. your "real" milk wont come in until after the baby is born. it may take up to 3 days after. the colostrum has the most important vitamins and antibodies that your baby needs right after birth. no worries hunnie. it will all be fine. congrats on your little one!

You don't start producing breast milk until after the baby is born. What you are probablu experiencing is called pre-milk. It's "boobycizes" for milk production. Always ask your own doctor but don't sweat it too much .

It's colostrum. Your body produces it before your milk comes in. Once while I was taking birth control pills, I had it too. I've never been pregnant either. It's the change in your hormones

No, everything is fine. Your breast milk usually dosn't start looking milk like till more near delivery. Your milk dosn't actually "come in" till you are ready to deliver. But if you are concerned ask your doctor to check it out.

Don't worry it will come in and look more "milk-like" when the baby is born. The more you breastfeed the more milk will come in. Congrats
