I'm 28 and grew up on movies like Cloak and Dagger, War Games, Flight of the Navigator, Batteries Not Included, among others. But kids are bored with these movies because they are spoiled with graphics in todays movies. Should we remake these movies to make them better for today's children?

Yeah! Especially the Flight of the Navigator. That was way entertaining, creative, cutting-edge and fresh for a kid's movie at that time. I have nothing against remaking these movies for they will definitely be presented better nowadays, but I think the originals are better because it will show the high level of creativity and resourcefulness people had back then in making these types of sci-fi.

Yeah, after Toy Story I, the novelty wore off for me anyway. But I would opinion that CG will become more of a technique in the movies because of cost-effectiveness. Movies are a money thing. A big money thing. And the big money is aware that animation movies are a sweet thing when it comes to reruns and residuals -- fewer people get a check.

I think it is up to the parents to sit and share their favorite movies with their children. My son (who is now 12) LOVES Ghostbusters. He loves to watch my old Hanna Barbera collection of cartoons like Huckleberry Hound and Yogi Bear. He especially loved watching Season One of The Muppets with me. He loves The Karate Kid, Stand By Me, and Monty Python and The Holy Grail. He also loves sharing the Old Disney Winnie The Pooh with his little brother. Not the new Winnie politically correct garbage they make now.

I agree that some movies are outdated and obsolete. But there are many timeless ones that you can share.

i'm no longer a REMAKE individual. i like the unique video clips in the way they have been ment to be. Remaking the previous video clips is including to the CGI concern. little ones in basic terms might desire to lean to savor the classics for what they're. OH YEAH
