Of course I would! There's really no one to be afraid of in the Giants' lineup (Pedro Feliz? Lance Niekro?), so I would walk Bonds each and every time. Besides, who wants to be forever known as the pitcher who gave up the record-breaking shot of a tainted record?

Not ANY situation. The situation would partially dictate whether or not I walk him, but my pitcher would also factor into the decision. With Peavy, Schmidt, or Webb on the hill, no matter the situation, an intentional walk is unthinkable. With Wells or any Rockies pitcher, an intentional walk is much more likely to happen.
The above examples come from Bonds' division rivals. To include the entire National League, I'd have Arroyo, Capuano, Carpenter, Oswalt, Sheets, and Willis try to get the strikeout every time. Most of the rest of the Central arms would seriously consider the free pass while the East arms would try to induce the grounder.
I'd have Carlos Zambrano intentionally BEAN Bonds with the first pitch of his first at-bat because Z's dirty and intense enough to go along with it.
Finally, if Rich Hill were my pitcher, I'd make a pitching change IMMEDIATELY, then think about the situation.

Walking him just to keep him from the record wouldn't be right, but walking him to save a game sounds more logical. I don't think managers would walk him just to protect the record or something. managers walk him because they simply do not want to risk him hitting the ball out. Barry had been walked in the past with the bases loaded.

No I wouldn't. A REAL baseball player would want to do their best against anyone. In 1961 managers told pitchers to walk Maris to keep Ruth's precious record from being broken. In 1974 they did the same thing with Aaron. But for the Bonds haters, would you serve pitches up to Pujols so he could break Bonds' record?

Barry Bonds is the HR chief for occupation and season, yet faux followers, bandwagoners and jealous followers that choose their gamers have been the HR chief have self assurance that different people who Barry handed up are nonetheless holders of those records. each and every physique, it form of feels, used some form of PED of their occupation, and those faux followers and bandwagoners do not think of that even the main imprecise professional baseball participant that had extreme extremity injuries HAS used steroids as prescribed by using a dr., because is the conventional path of scientific care alongside with ice, warmth and soreness killers. Are those injured gamers that had steroids of their device "cheaters" too, in the event that they used an identical substance that Barry used? go away the discussions of PED use to the authentic baseball followers that certainly experienced worse controversies and matters with the sport even earlier gamers delivered PED's into the open. additionally, no person in baseball's previous is an "angel" or greater of a "appropriate" place form simply by fact Ty Cobb (racism), Henry Aaron (amphetamines), Orlando Cepeda (marijuana trafficking), Mickey Mantle (alcoholism maximum appropriate to his death) and George Herman Ruth (alcoholism, womanizing and eating issues), and different HOF'ers have had those extreme vices impression their lives too.

No, not any situation. If the game was the game to win the wild card, tie game, bases loaded and bottom of the ninth. No matter with how much i dislike bonds, winning is more important, and if u walk him the game is automatically over.

I wouldn't. And i certainly wouldn't hit him or attempt to hit him; a brushback pitch only if the situation warrants. Face him down. His skills are declining.
