That thought just occured to me as I thought to give someone a star. Not sure why, but I never think to give out stars. Giving thumbs up or down is easier I guess.

I don't star anything unless it's a best answer I've gotten that I really like. I don't look at who starred my questions anyway really....it's got no factor in how I choose a best answer at all. I know yahoo thought it would be a good way for people to show each other interesting things they come across, but there's so many people who don't even look at other people's profile pages around here that I didn't see the point when the stars first showed up. I figure that if people want to see what I think is interesting, they'll take a look at the questions I answer...

On the other hand, maybe people are more likely to give Best Answer to someone who's starred them.

Pressing a star is a one way street. If I don't press the star you don't get anything. If I press the star it means I like your question.
