Mortal Kombat,no doubt,playing it on the nintendo,ever since mortal kombat 1 through armageddon I love them all.

Street Fighter has by far had the most popularity, and still puts out an excellent fighting game!!

1. Marvel vs Capcom 2 "ps2. Not only was it a fanboys dream come true. This game is full tilt all the way. a moment of triumph for 2d lovers.

2. Tekken tag "ps2" When it comes to 3d fighters Tekken can not be beat. the tag system in this game, amps with a total change of styles, puting your skills to the test... we need soul caliber to make one like this.

3.Guilty Gear X2 "Ps2" Another fantastic 2d game. A crazy cast of charitors, and probally No.1 with alot of hardcore gamers.

4.Soul Caliber 2 "gamecube" Link is badass in this game, as well as the graphics are stunning. A must have.

5.Smash bros "gamecube" a very different take on the fighting game genre, yet you cant deny the fun, classic nintendo charitors. just need captain N and Simon Belmont and this game could see a rise to the top!!

6.virtue fighter 4 evolution "ps2" A great take on the martal arts, and a visual stunner. However there is something very artifical about this game. just lacks charitor.

7.dead or alive "xbox" sorry i have never played this game, but from what i see It looks like Tekken for the xbox.

8.Mortal combat series"---" This was one of the first fighting games. excessive blood and gore, awsome theme song!! Sub Zero!!

9.king of fighters"2006" this is the first 3d in the series, an awsome game might just be ranked higher soon!!

10.Pit fighter. Just because this game is hilarious. inspired me to where zubas, wrap around shades and a mullet.

Eternal Champions for the Sega Genesis. The end boss was tough. He had 4 different reincarnations, so after you beat him in one form, he takes on another character's form, and his life bar gets completely refilled, while your life bar gets a little bit refilled. What's so great is that he wasn't a cheap boss with cheap tactics.
