I've watched this show many times, and the more I watch it the angrier I get.
I think these men are being lured and trapped. These little girls should know better than to talk to these men in such provacative ways. I honestly think that parents are to blame, as they should be teaching their young girls about sex and why things like this are inappropriate.
Face it, men are driven by their bottom half and will pretty much do anything when sex is mentioned.
I think Dateline is wrong and should stop doing this, as it is obviously not a deterrent; these men know upon walking in the door.

I could agree with those of you that feel this is a good thing, but there is one thing that troubles me...
These girls INVITE the men over!!! Come on! I am all for putting men away that force themselves on young children, uninvited. But these people are luring the men...plain and simple. Where are their parents? Why haven't they been taught that this is wrong?

Parents should teach their kids about sex, especially the young girls, But unfortunately some parents don't have the guts to teach their children about sex. And yes I disagree with Dateline showing "Catch a Predator". I believe they should still do the operations to catch predators but it shouldn't be televised. Because once these men faces and identity gets on T.V., their lives will never be the same. Everyone deserves a second chance.

You have a really good point, but adults should be adults! Whats next a girl was wearing a short skirt so she deserved to be raped? There is no excuse for these bottom feeders. All men don't think that way, and the ones that do should be punished. If dateline can stop just one of these pieces of trash then I think the whole thing is worth it.

Shooting the messenger [dateline] rather than the sex predator [the men] does not make sense!
I hope Dateline keep doing this show...it's only the tip of the iceburg.... there are so many more perverts out there that need to be caught and locked up before they pounce on our girls and boys!!

I completely disagree with you. These men are PEDOPHILES! That means that they like little kids. These people cruise chat rooms looking for boys and girls to manipulate. They lie about their age, and everything else under the sun in order to get these children to trust them. Then when they think they have them they start to offer sex. The people that do this show explicitly say that they are UNDERAGE and these men still go after them. How would you like if a predator was stalking your child on the Internet. I think they are doing this country a service by protecting our children.

I have felt the exact same thing, but have been afraid to say anything because of the "Nature" of the event!!!
I'm glad someone else thinks that. One man killed himself (he was a District Attorney!) He was emailing boys, he had never had any contact with them.
I wish somone would "TRAP" the directors of this program in the same way! Those hypocrites!

What I can't get over is how guys continue to fall for it. They deserve whatever legal calamity befalls them.
Dateline is just taking advantage of suckers.
