I'm not sure what you are asking us if you should take. You say you are already taking French. If you want to learn French, then continue taking it, if you don't then stop. It's always nice to have at least some knowledge of a second or third language so I hope you stick with it, even if some of the things are stupid.

Bonjour! If you like french, no matter how stupid the activities seem, you should go on with it. Don't let friends shape this opinion; it's one that you need to determine on your own. Consider this: would you like to fluently speak french? Would finishing off in high school keep you from college-level french? And finally, do you think that taking french would be beneficial and/or helpful on a college application?? Finally, talk to your teacher. See if he/she thinks you can make it that far and succeed. Good luck!!

Au revoir.....

My daughter is in french and she loves it. She agrees some activities are stupid but there are others that she just loves. The question is what does your gut tell you? and are you prepared to work hard because french is not an easy class?

Well, I took french for 3 years. And I regret every single one of those years. Prsonally I'd say no, don't take it. At least not if you can learn some other language such as spanish or chinese.

i think my education in the french language was wasted

i am surrounded by more spanish speaking people than french (can'te ven name one iv'e seen or met this year)

but if the french language will benefit you, then YES take it

and if their activities were lame, take charge when you get there - come up with your own ideas and make these suggestions - your classmates will love it and your teacher iwll appreciate it..........
