Sarah McLaughlin, or Nora Jones, Sade', Nirvana, and even though you prefer "no oldies"; I used to love listening to Neil Young when I was depressed. Especially when he recorded with Crazyhorse.

Anything by Evanescence is good. That's what I listen to. They mostly about depression. For you, I would highly recommend this band. Hope that answers your question.
