lol... my daughter convinced me to get her a laptop.... 3 yrs ago... and this yr convinced me to buy her another one... maybe u should talk to her....lol.... be nice to ur mom... do all ur chores... dont ever curse.... be sweet .... the nicer my kids are to me the more I want to do for them... good luck.. : )

My son was not allowed a computer of his own and that was 5 years ago, he is now 21. There was not 1/2 the garbage online then as there is now
I am sure it upsets you now however, as you get older you will understand she is not allowing you one of your own for YOUR SAFETY.

good luck! Im a mother of an 8 and 11yr old and I wouldnt buy either of them a laptop..

save some money and see if she'll pay part of the cost. Also I would go with a cheaper model first, then work your way up.

perhaps you can borrow a friends or have them come over so your parent can see how you use it and what you use it for.. maybe sit with her when you use it, and let her try it also...promise to not take it from the house...it may be about the money?...good luck
