I think you just answered your own question. Bush just gives the illusion of giving. In reality, WE are the ones giving--it is our tax money going to the Troops. Now, if Bush was repesentative of America and acknowledged this is America giving, it might be different. As it stands, Michael Savage, as a person, gave more than Bush, as a person.

I always look forward to questions like this one. Without fail they always bring the filth out in force! The answer to the question asked (which also includes a statement slanting or skewing the answers)is: I think that both men in the question care from the troops. I don't believe giving a pittance of "over 5K" should make any difference compared to the knowledge that your decision has resulted in thousands of deaths for the cause of Freedom.

A better question asked would have been: Who cares more for the troops? Liberals or Conservatives? The answer to that one simple question is...., "Is my answer hateful towards anyone because they believe differently then I do?"

example: I have noticed that most people that disagree with the President are very disrespectful and even hateful wishing death or great bodily harm on those that have a different political slant. Unfortunately the vast majority of the "hate speech" in the political or religious arenas are from the "Moderates" or "Liberals" because they do not like the facts being presented and resort to bringing up issues from as far back as 30-40 years ago. If they ("Moderates" or "Liberals") really cared they would "volunteer" to give their money to the IRS (rather then forcing everyone else that does not have high powered accountants to pay) so that congress could do their jobs of providing for the health and welfare of our troops.

It is easy to sit back and bash the President when you don't know s..t about what is going on. The media is out to sell papers or TV time any way they can and if making Bush look bad is in vogue, that is what they do.

He cannot wave a wand and fix all the domestic problems nor can he make Iraq self sufficient over night. If the governor of Louisiana had been willing to let the federal government come in immediately, there wouldn't have been the big problem there was. The feds could not come in until they were invited because of State sovereignty.

i presumed the Democrats supported the troops, isn't that what they proclaim, I mean ignoring the occasional spitting on troops decrease back from Iraq needless to say.. besides , " inspite of a twelve months of ferocious wrestle, mounting casualties and ordinary deployments, help for the conflict in Iraq keeps to be very severe between the energetic-accountability militia, in accordance to a militia situations poll. Sixty-3 p.c. of respondents approve of how President Bush is dealing with the conflict, and 60% proceed to be confident that's a conflict well worth combating. help for the conflict is even extra desirable between people who've served longest in the wrestle zone: 2-thirds of wrestle vets say the conflict is well worth combating."

I agree with you.I just started listening to Dr.Savage about 6 months ago. Some things he says may be a bit much, but all in all I find him very informative, and he stands behind his word, alot more than Mr. Bush does. I really appreciate Dr. Savage.I wish he would actually run for president, he would definitely get my vote."liberalism is a mental disorder."

It isn't a competition

Any politician or pundit falls short (unless they served in active military themselves).

Instead of arguing over who supports this that or the other; just try to do something positive.
