I used to live there, I'm Italian, and perhaps I think what I think just because I had a very nice experience, lots of friends there and memories...
everybody is right here but I found so strange that no one has to say JUST ONE POSITIVE THING ... you are a bit exagerated...aren't you?

It's a lovely sunny afternoon with a chilly breeze blowing. There is the hustle and bustle of a city going about it's daily movements.
Some of the comments are so negative about London - I love it as a city - yes it is expensive- probably more so than you remember and more multicultural than it ever was - but that's a beneift.
I miss that when I am away - the fact that I can interact with and talk to people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
I am off to the pub in a while to celebrate a friends birthday and enjoy an ale or two.
Don't know it I have evoked any memories for you but it is still a beautiful, historical and dynmic capital city.

London is the same now as it's always been: full of crooks and thieves, shootings, muggings, stabbings, illegal immigrants, pot holed roads, rubbish strewn everywhere in the filthy streets, cars belching out CO2 everywhere, police sirens wailing and screeching 24/7, drunken yobs fighting on the streets after the pubs and clubs close, psycho nutters on a 'care in the community' programme just aimlessly wandering around and randomly stabbing people, and for all this we have to endure the highest cost of living in Europe.

Does that bring back the memories for you?

London is very different than 3 years ago thanks to our mayor and the government it has just got crazy , congestion terrible , gang warfare going strong , as always bad weather, high crime , terrible pollution, litter everywhere, but do you know what its still the best city ever if you look past the bad things theres lots of beauty to , a great historical city wonderful buildings beautiful parks , proper people. I love my city to bits .

London's a city with exaggerated versions of all that is good, all that was once good, and all that is terrible about modern Britain.
