How is this possible?

How is it possible that some people are selling cheap in ebay?
Take the example of Sony Ericsson k800i, retailers sell for around AU$500, online auction ends around AU$430. Where do they get the stocks with such a cheap price? Does anyone know how much does one cost if get directly from manufacturer or authorized distributor?
