first of all, Do Not Wear Black Shoes, especially black leather ones, its not the early 90's, its 2007. The wedding must be a daytime wedding, (I guess by the length of the dress) so have some fun, add some silver strappy shoes with it like everyone else says, or for a day wedding you could even find a great pair of sandals to go with it. Oh and you don't want to dye shoes to match the dress unless you want to look like part of the bridal party.

I would buy silver strappy sandals and not try to match your shoes to the eggplant color of the dress. I would think that would be a difficult color to match.

Agree with all Silver straps!! and depending on the dress don't forget to accessorize (match with silver) don't over do it thou if the dress is sleeveless a nice silver bracelet would go nicely have fun at the wedding!

Oh well that sound very pretty. OK so I recommend you buy a pair of silver or gold shoes. You should go to like Marshal Fields (Macy's) and just try on a lot of shoes and find a pair you really really like. Well I hope I helped and have a ton of fun at your wedding!!!!!!!!!

get a white pair and dye to match the dress color. eggplant is a very nice spring and summer color, so you will get plenty of mileage wearing them.

A strappy silver sandal would go perfectly with that dress. Nothing too bulky though.

i would say either matching podesua shoes that are the same color or maybe silver like almost gaudy or maybe gold if it is a little more dressy
