I have to wear a uniform at my school too... and what we did was... beggggg for options. Now we have three colored skirts, or the khaki pants... and three different polos to wear with them. Make sure to tell them how unfair it is that girls only get the skirt option because it is true that some girls don't like them and its sexist to a certain extent. Tell them that when you force rules on students it makes them only want to break them more so if you don't have options that leaves a lot of room for an uprising. You could also say that with skirts the girls will role them and instead of looking like a classy uniform they will start looking like a slutty one... haha we had that problem at our school! Im not sure if its cold where you're from but tell them that your legs could get cold and other stuff like that. Pretty much think of everything they're going to say when they oppose you and have an answer ready for it! Good luck and i hope you win! Uniforms are no fun unless you make them fun!

Tell them forcing skirts is sexist. You're uncomfortable about guys seeing your legs, it's unequal, etc.
