I sort of no the basis of it. Can give you thrity-college credits for a cheap price, and can help with you to finish, and advance faster in college. But anyone with experience who has taken this? Any problems with it? Easy? Difficult? How long? Any other issues just add them on. Thanks. Also one more thing anyone hear of the DANTES Exam as well? Thanks.

Just be sure, which course you will take and PASS.
You might good at History or Sociology or any foreign language so take the test which you are good at.

i.e: German was my second language and i took Clep German. Passed the 2 levels and got 12 full credits from my college. so i do not need to fulfill my foreign language at my college. 12 credits means, 4 german courses( one per semester)

12 credits only for $60....WOW...!

Note: make sure that your college will accept those credits.
I wanted to take History, i could not... while my college wouldn't accept it. So first speak with your college's Transfer office and than take the Clep. Also you may ask them which courses they allow to take with CLEP.

With Clep you may also finish college earlier.....

GOOD LUCK,

PS: never heard about DANTES

I took almost 20 CLEPs and quite a few DANTES tests as well. So I know a lot about them.

They're like a college final. So yes, they're difficult, but not more difficult than you'd have otherwise. The hardest part is that you have one test for the whole course.

The only issue to be aware of is that not every college has the same transfer policies, so just make sure you're in line with the policies that your college has and you'll be fine.

And for studying, check out SpeedyPrep. They have amazing CLEP prep. https://www.speedyprep.com/sign_up/

Both CLEP and DANTES are exams you can take to basically test out of a college course and get full credit for taking the course. Some are rather difficult but if you get the right study material from your library or local book store you will have no problem. SOmetimes it is easier to just take the class rather than trying to study to take the CLEP or DANTES. Also you have to check with your college to see which exam they will except. Some except both the CLEP and DANTES but some may only except one or the other.
