Child abuse is against the Law in any Country. How old is your son? Who has legal custody of your son? If your wife hasnt got legal custody, then take your son the hell away from the abuse, then let your wife fight for custody, then she will have to prove that the child is in a safe environment. If she has legal custody, then you have to get some proof that your son is being abused....its a terrible system because children are being abused every day and the Law cant seem to do anything about it, and if your son is a minor, then its going to be a little more difficult and how much abuse is he going to endure before the legal proof will be enough for a Judge to give you custody...thats why I say, take your son and then let your wife fight to get custody. If you have proof that he is being abused then call the police and get your son removed from the abuse. Its a really tough situation for any parent to be in. You know your son is being abused, but getting the proof is a different matter. I know if a child of mine was being abused, I would move heaven and earth to get him/her out of that situation. Maybe find yourself somewhere else to live where your ex wife cannot find you, so it will make it harder to get to her son....whatever it takes, get your son out of this situation otherwise he is going to have massive issues as he gets older. I have seen first hand how abuse affects kids...I have even seen many suicides of kids from abusive homes. Call your local domestic violence shelter and find out what services and what options are available to you. Find as many people as you can who have witnessed the abuse...just pile up your evidence, do whatever you can to get your son away from this abuse. But like I said, getting that evidence takes time, so the only thing you can do to stop this abuse is to find a way to get your son to come live with you. I guess you have tried talking to your ex and shes not listening...she doesnt believe the boyfriend could do that probably...shes in love and blind...so appealing to her senses is probably out of the question.....Maybe you just have to take matters into your own hands to stop the abuse of your son....I dont mean do anything illegal like bashing the boyfriend....just look at all options and I think right now your best option is to ring an organisation that is experienced with child abuse....social services, Salvations Army, The Samaritans, the Police, your local domestic violence shelter.....get as much information you can from all those sources, then act because your son's future is at stake.

If you dont live in that area near them then you need to contact the police first and they will probably send someone to investigate, like Social Services or child protective services. Does the ex have full custody? If there is joint custody the first thing I would do is go get my kid out of there immediately. Lexington NC police department # is area code 336-243-3304 and the Davidson County Sheriffs Office is 336-242-2100. The county Lexington is is Davidson. I google searched these #s but first and foremost you need to report the behavior. I wish you luck and I hope your son will be okay.

Call Lexington NC Child Services Dept.(DCF) File a complaint, note the time and who you talked to. They are going to ask how you know this is true. They will want an address and phone number on the place the boy resides. If your son is under 16 they have no choice but to investigate. If your son is older than 16 he has the right to walk out and live where he wishes. Give it a week and call back and talk to the same person.

Go to the police. You can go to the courthouse in your county and get a child abuse order of protection (restraining order). You need to either hire a lawyer or go down to the courthouse and ask for a pro se form for a motion to modify your child custody order, if you had a child custody order in your divorce proceedings. You can tell the clerk you don't have a lawyer and that you want to get custody of your son.

Call The Police!! Today, it is standard practice for The Police to get involved where domestic abuse is suspected; particularly where child abuse is suspected!! Don't wait!! Your Son's Life depends on it!! The Police can then refer you to other sources; resources to get help!!

get a good lawyer...take some time off and go be near your son...take him to a child psycologist to find out what is really happening...have him examined by a physician...document everything and then call social services and let your lawyer handle the rest....you need to take action immediately and get your son to a safe place....good luck

The first question is do you have proof of the abuse? If so then I suggest you take that proof to your lawyer.
