in the middle ages....minstrels could be killed if they suck....now they just make more. im disgusted that our teachers need to live in two income house holds while the rich and famous spend ridiculouslyt....think about THAT when you complain about public schools. your thoughts?

you couldn't be more right. it is a shame when people that truly work from 9 to 5 just to make it and not even make it sometimes from one day to another get paid the pocketchange that they do and then the people out there in hollywood get paid millions upon millions to do things like that. it is a sad world out there. good luck.

I'm not caught up in what entertainers do. I don't really watch TV that much unless it's CNN or AMC. But you make a very valid point. There are people starving in the world and all people seem to care about is someone like Brittney Spears (sp) shaving her freakin head. Such nonsense catches peoples attention. I'm flabbergasted. The real question is what do our tax dollars really do. As much taxes as they take, why do we always have a deficit.

AGREE ... it is a shame that teachers, police/fire personnel, EMT techs, Soldiers/Sailors/Airmen/Marines, Coast Guard personnel and those who actually have REAL jobs with VALUE to SOCIETY have to live the way WE do (I am Retired Military -- so you can see where I am coming from ... and sibling to those still serving!). The BIGGEST shame is the way our Military Forces have to make do and the number of our forces on food stamps/WIC because ... we don't pay our Military Enough for the responsibilities they carry on their shoulders! (Same with teachers and the others I mentioned ...)
Yes, I DEFINITELY Agree that the pay scale has been inverted ... and needs CORRECTION -- IMMEDIATELY! Been wrong for YEARS ... and I am SICK and TIRED of garbage being shoved down my 'throat' by the 'media' about how they are so 'underpaid or underprivileged' or anything else. First, I so agree with you. But for some reason, people need their "idols" & follow them like puppy dogs. Celebrities get paid equal to how much money they make for OTHERS. Good grief, I didn't even know who Anna Nicole Smith was until someone told me! THAT'S how much I care! Ah, the rich & INFAMOUS. How terribly silly it all is!

We put too much value into actors ect... I think our real heros are our Teachers, Police, Firefighters ect... these are the underpaid people who actually DESERVE our praises and the right to earn a great living...

They are our royalty because we do not have a King, Queen, or any "real" royalty. They get paid what they do because their work generates a lot of money. If teachers were paid that much, our taxes would be outrageous.
