You can't say that all men don't associate sex with feelings - because there are plenty that do. You mean to tell me you don't know ONE man that finds sex emotional? You also can't say that women DO associate sex with feelings - because I know plenty who don't. You don't know ONE woman who sleeps around because "it's only sex"?
Sex is both physical and emotional for both men and women. After a married couple fights (and forgive me for being stereotypical here, I'm just trying to make a point) the woman withholds sex because she needs to feel close to her husband. The husband WANTS sex because he needs to feel close to his wife. So, in that case, it seems to show that men DO see sex as emotional, more so than women.
It all depends on the person, not the gender. Sex can be meaningless, just physical, if both partners can detach themselves from it emotionally. Or it can be the most intense emotional experience if the two are truly in love.
In a happy relationship, no one cheats. A man who has a loving, sexy, interested wife at home does not sleep around just because the opportunity presents itself. A woman does tend to get into an affair emotionally before it becomes physical, though... maybe that's what you're asking? Most cheating that happens is because something is missing at home, whether it's sex or emotional support. I don't think it's worse when women cheat, I think it sucks when EITHER partner cheats.
And, judging from what I see (in real life as well as on this site), women cheat just as often, if not more so, than men. Just seems like the men get caught more.

I think that the cheating is about the same now, but more Men probably get caught. Women are very good at reading emotions, more so than men. I do think that it is probably more damaging/meaningful when a woman cheats as it is usually as you say, about more than sex. With men I think it's about wanting options and variety.

Men cheat no more than women and thats a fact. I for one am a prime example. I've had 2 opportunites to cheat on my girlfriend in the past few weeks...i didn't simply because i love her!

Also for me sex is now an emotional thing as well as for physical pleasure. The bonding and snuggling that goes on after love making as fantastic and much better than any 1 night stand i've had when i was single.

Most of the time women do associate sex with feelings. But speak for yourself when you say that men don't.
Alot of men do, but most men don't show their true feelings.
Don't get me wrong, alot of the time men don't associate sex with feelings but trust and beleive if they love their women it is going to hurt them to find out their woman has cheated. It might even hurt worse because men keep their feelings inside.
Men aren't emotionally deprived creatures.
But men and women are so different and react differently to things.
Bottem line, cheating is a bad thing for anybody to do.

I think that men get amourous with the visual, whereas women get turned on by the tactile. I think that this helps explain why more porn is viewed by men than women. I think that there is a point that a man is more likely to declare that he has cheated than a woman, so there are more obvious cheaters amongst men. I would think the numbers are about the same, because cheaters tend to cheat with other cheaters.

1. Doesn't love him
or
2. Is having problems with her boyfriend or spouse.

I think it's really rare for a woman to have an extreme physical attraction to another man when she already has a man to come home to.
On the other hand:

Anybody is capable of cheating whether your a man or not.Men are different to women as they can disassociate their emotions and feel far less guilty than a woman.A woman can cheat just as easily as a man but we do this with our feelings getting in the way.I think we are more in tune with our feelings then men are.........i hope that helps toward an answer to your question.

I believe you are right in what you are saying. Genetically speaking, it is in the Males best interest to have many partners, so he can pass his Genes on more efficiently. Because women can only have one pregnancy at a time, it is in her interest to associate sex with Love and feelings, because Monogamy is in her best interest.
