Hi in my knowledge of e-machines it should have a recovery disc, this will do a fresh install, i presume this is what you want to do? If so put the disc in cd rom reboot the computer and follow the instructions on the screen.( cd rom needs to be first bootable device which can be changed in the bios)

Yes you take it outside. Put it on something hard and then take a sledge hammer to it.
