What is a good age to begin taking your children to piano lessons? I have heard that their fingers are not fully developed until a certain age and this could effect them.... any insight?

The best time to start piano lessons is around seven, when the kids are eager enough to learn, but have a long enough attention span to be serious about the material.

I played my first song when I was 2. It was Mary Had A Little Lamb. I started lessons in 3rd grade. I took lessons for 12 years. It is very rewarding and fun, but takes lots of time and practice. I would say anytime.
