They thought it was old, so they revamped it with a suckier one, cause they don't care, they know kids'll watch almost anything.(I take it as an insult that they changed it `|:|!!)

The original series was released on DVD and aren't shown anymore, as far as I can tell. Now that Pokemon has reached the 10th Season, the earliest reruns go back only 2 seasons to Advanced Battle. Online(besides P2P software), the earliest episodes I can find are late Orange Islands on Toonami Jetstream.

Check out Cartoon Network. They have been showing Pokemon for years. I believe the show is in it's tenth season now.

In order to keep the show fresh, they started creating spinoffs left and right to keep viewers since the original Pokemon cartoon, the only one that was remotely good, was losing viewers and appeal since it was around for a while.

They're still airing new ones, both in Japan and in here, based on the new video games. Right now, the English translation has Ash making the transition to a new area, Sinnoh. (I think that's what it's called.)

I think they are not shown in TV anymore but there are Video Tapes for them! You can try new Pokemon shows like: Advanced Battle, Chronicles, and Batlle Fronteir on CARTOON NETWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
