i suggest u just play songs that r already written. mayb u can start studying da way really good song writers r inspired (ex. billie joe armstrong from green day goes out on walks) , then u guys can start writing ur own songs. good luck :)

Right ok, well go for a kind of humorus attempt. Find something that inspires you, anything at all and expand on it, once you learn this technique you'll be a great lyricist!
Remember if your going for a punky approach, to moan and complain about things, it spices the song up =] GOOD LUCK!
