Alone, a thing eroded and twisted by the dark tides of fate, cast about and torn asunder by the currents of chance; degraded, piece by infintesimal peice, and ripped to tattered shreds by the briny depths of lifes abyss. Untill nothing remains but the ruined heart of what was once alive...
And yet with breath there comes hope, and hope brings with it resolution for change. The chaotic tides of life carry only possibility, it is for you to discern them, and that requires wisdom, which can only be gained through living, floating about on the tides of chance...
Good luck, and live as fully as you can imagine.

I don't drink alcohol to excess, but when I do, I tend to smoke cigarettes. When I do too much of that, the next morning I feel like driftwood on a grey sea. Is this what you mean?

It seems to me that this is two different things, driftwood is quite unique and can be quite beautiful, but a grey sea is forboding, so I am not sure how to answer this question. I guess my answer would be yes sometimes I do.

Yea, I suppose I have. But more importantly, I really dig that phrase, "like driftwood on a grey sea." It's so poetic. Mind if I use it?

I used to. I sometimes felt like a helpless object moved by the world around me. Lost in a vast grey abyss with no direction.
But now I am the captain of my ship on a crystal clear blue lake with the sun sparkling like diamonds on the surface. I direct my sail. I took control of my life. I realized that I am the author of my fate. I can't blame others for my unhappiness. I am responsible for choosing my own happiness and I'm learning to do it.

No, but I feel like I exist now only to be tortured, and that there is no way out for me but to die. That driftwood thing sounds nice and relaxing. I'll take that instead.
