ok, my cousins mom won't let her wear make-up and she's 13 and she really wants too, becuase she looks good with it, but her mom won't let her..... she looks extermly pretty with it too, so does anyone have good convincing arguments for letting my cousin wear make-up? just like eyeliner, and maybe mascara and possibly a little eyeshadow. her mom is really strict, so we need really strong arguments! thank you!

Many tinted moisturizers and most mineral foundations have sunscreen, which is a good thing. She could take that avenue as an arguement. But honestly, if her mom is dead-set against makeup for 13 year olds, there's probably not much you can say. I wore makeup at 13, with mom's blessing, but it was very subtle. Maybe a lttle demonstration of how subtle it would be would help?

ok, just have her start off by putting some mascara and lip gloss on, and chances are her mom won't even notice it! after that just keep adding stuff slowly. IF she notices then be like, mom, come on, don't tell me u didn't wear makeup at my age? then be like, just let me try it 4 a day and i probably will get bored and won't even wanna apply it anymore! of course sge would be lying, but ....

ok maybe she should start out with no severe makeup first......like just some mascara and foundation...........it still looks natural, so u can tell her mom that shes not changing who she is by wearing makeup (because some girls look like a completely dfferent person when they wear makeup and they try to cover up their real looks w it)......and ask her whats wrong with making yourslef look nicer....everyone should feel their very best.

How about :
for hiding unsightly blemishes
medicinal purposes
I donno
make up crazy stuff

Or you could always store the makeup in a bag so her mom doesn't see her with it and she should apply it where ever she is heading and wash it off when she comes hom

How about self-confidence? Say that wearing makeup builds self confidence, which it does. And say that she will start small and build up. Thats what I did when I was 13 and it worked on my super strict parents! Good luck!

i did the same thing for my little cousin! here's what u do: show her mom after you do it though.. THINK NATURAL! a light shimmery (not glittery) peach swept on lids, no liner, a bit of mascara on top lids, LIGHT peach blush, peach or non-colored gloss that's not too shiny WITHOUT glitter. less is more!!!
