I need to replace the garage doors in my garage. Is there a DIY web site that shows the steps involved? Even a book like those "Sunset" books that show the steps for ensuring correct track alignment would be helpful. Thanks

diynetwork.com ??? Although, I haven't checked it out. It may or may not have info on garage doors. When you preload the springs to counter balance the door, it can get dangerous, if you slip or make a mistake.

When I had mine replaced the labor wasn't all that much, Like a 150 or so. Plus it only took him about 2 hours and he cleaned up the mess from the old door too.

I looked and didn't find anything good on line. I really recommend not going at a door install by your self until you have installed one with someone who is experienced.

Reason being, the springs on a garage door have caused fatal accidents in past years. They are extremely dangerous to pretension.

I bet if you shop around, you could find someone who is knowlegable that could assist you as a first timer.

Good luck and BE SAFE!

I'm not sure if this site has a guide specific to your garage door, but try http://www.houselogic.com.
