ok computer gods help me,,?

for awhile i have been trying to click and drag and paste but cant do it,, how do you paste something,, people have told me to right click ect but it never works,, what the heck am i doing wrong,, thanks to everybody who tries to help

to copy and paste? you cick the mouse and hold it drag the mouse over the text that will turn it blue right click on the blue then click copy! then you go to a program like word and go to edit then paste!
