between 2 and 3. i read somewhere that three is the best age to potty train a little boy. because they have pretty good control of the need to pee. for girls it is good to start any where between 2 and three. but be patient. my son had one accident didnt like it and never even wet the bed or anything afterwards. but my daughter was a little tougher. she was mad cause no matter how hard she tried she couldnt pee standing up like her brother. but they both do pretty good now.

Still working on it! He is 3 1/2 years old and doesn't want to have anything to do with potty training! I hear that some boys do not train until the are 4-4 1/2.

I don't think there's any "right" age to start potty training, however, I don't think it's ever too soon to introduce toddlers to the idea. Let them accompany you to the bathroom and sit them on the potty frequently to see what happens. If they inadvertently "go", praise them wildly! My son occasionally peed on the potty when he was 18 months and was fully trained by 27 months which everyone thought was pretty early for a boy. I have friends who are still working on training their 4 year olds! I think the important thing is not to force them and they'll do it when their ready.

My dad bought a potty chair for my daughter when she turned one and we kept it in the bathroom. She would come in and set on it when I would use the potty, she would use it to stuff in, etc. Around 18 months or so she would start to go in and set on it and actually go once in a while. I never pushed it the chair was just there and she kind of decided for herself. She was completely potty trained by the time she was 2. She has been wearing underware since her second birthday.

I would usually start introducing my child to the potty around 2 years old. They really won't get the hang of it for about 6 months. Just don't get frustrated with the child if you put them on the potty and they don't go and then you put them back in pull-ups and they go. IT takes a bit for the child to get used to using the potty.

Our son turned 2 in Dec. We started potty training not to long after that. Sometimes he goes in the potty other times he dosent. We arent rushing him. Most boys arent even ready to start until they are 2 1/2.

Babies dont potty train..Toddlers do. Most kids are not ready before the age of 2.

well.......i started at 2 years and he just was not ready so i waited until about a month before he was 3 years and i have never had an accident or problem since he took right to it. but they do say girls are easier and my friends daughter was trained at 18 months. good luck! i hate potty training!

My daughter started on her own. She used to follow me into the bathroom and wanted to sit on the potty like I did...so I started putting her up there...one day the timing was right, she was about 18 months old...
