To some it is a close-knit group of conspirators who want to establish a single government for the world. To others it is just a movement of like minded people independently moving toward the same goal. To the religious it is the coming of the Anti-Christ, the Mark of the Beast and all that.

Those who support the U. N. as the beginnings of a world government are those who support the New World Order. It would force everyone in the world to be alike, the same money, same economy, the same or no religion, a single language and make peace from the barrel of a gun. I know that too many political leaders from all political parties all over the world support the idea, thinking of their own power.

There have been ideas like that around since the Roman Empire tried to unite the known world. The Freemasons have nothing to do with it although some of them also support the idea of a World Government. Christianity would like to persuade and convince people to become united as Christians. Islam would convert by threat of death to make its own World Order.

I like diversity in people. Why would God have made us so wonderfully different if we are meant to be all alike as the New World Order would force us to be?

The New World Order which you are most likely to have heard of, sometimes referred to as Pax Americana, is a term coined from a H G Wells book of the same name and it refers to a thoery that the world is ultimately destined to be ruled by one world government.

This world government is supposedly going to be under the direct control of the world's most powerful people, businesses and organizations, and democracy will be steadily reduced to an illusionary role, where people are merely led to believe that they are connected to the governing process.

It seems very far-fetched now, but if you take a very close look at what has been happening in the US, not just very recently, but also historically, there is no doubt that the balance of power has shifted away from the public realm towards an industrial and political elite. Even just looking at the Whitehouse gives you a clue there.

1988 - 92 George H W Bush
1992 - 2000 Bill Clinton
2000 - 2008 George W Bush
2008 - ??? Hilary Clinton?

It's a little strange that a country of 300 million people should be dominated by 2 families for so long. Wanna bet that Jeb Bush will stand for president in 2012?

However, with something as polarized as this, you really need to form your own opinion, without discounting either theory. Do the research.....and question everything you read.

The phrase "New World Order" was first used [I think] by Ronnie Reagan soon after the fall of the Berlin Wall. What it meant then was the end of the standoff between the old Soviet Union and the West and the start of something different and new.

We all know exactly what that 'new' thing is now - the War on Terror. The New World Order will be the outcome of that war which has already started and will probably continue for at least a decade or more.

US military have been fighting in Iraq now for longer than they did during WW2. It's going to be a hard slog, especially in Afghanistan.

This Iraq war has destroyed the old Idea of New World Order[The Senior Bush World order]but I think now a New World Order is taking shape which has nothing to do with the Doctrine of Illuminati or Skull or bones. And rather it will be a force exactly opposite to them.

Yes I have heard of it and don't believe it although some say that it could take over the world within a few years. Yea right lol. That is highly unlikely.
