I'm what you might call an introverted extrovert. I'm apt to jump in either direction at any given time. I enjoy the company of others, and just generally being involved in life, but there are times I'd rather just keep my own company or curl up with a good book. When life's getting to me, the loner in me usually takes over.

I embrace the world and the people in it. "To live would be an awfullly big adventure".
-- Peter Banning in "Hook".

However, I also enjoy my alone time. I love the times when it snows like crazy and they shut down the mountain. I get to cancel all of my plans for the day, light a fire and indulge in a good book and a cup (or two) of hot chocolate.

I believe that part of embracing the world is embracing yourself.

Embrace the world!

A little of both. Sometimes I'm out there embracing the world and all sorts of people and just living without a care in the world. Other times I like to withdraw to myself (into my crab shell) and think about things and make decisions...or just enjoy the peaceful quietness that comes over me sometimes. When I feel like this...sometimes I like to spend time alone and appreciate the feeling. I like a balance of being out in the world and being in my crab shell.
