it's impossible. you need to be born beautiful and talented vocally. if you are a sub-par singer or not gorgeous, it isn't worth the time and effort to try and make it

I think you should prepare yourself for the rejection and the hard work that goes along with being a star of any kind. I'd say auditioning for a reality show has been fruitful for a lot of people, so try that.
You don't need singing lessons [you do if you're entering a singing competition like American Idol though]. Look at Paris Hilton. Have you ever heard her sing live? NOOOO! You know why? Because she can't sing. The producers of her album had to layer her voice five or six times JUST so we could hear it in her songs. Guess what that means? No live performances and no tours for her.
It really depends on what type of star you want to be, if you really love what you want to do, and if you're just in it for the fame and money. If the latter is true, then my prayers are with you. We have enough self-absorbed people in this world, please don't add yourself to the pool.

First, not everyone wants to be famous, and most people just will not put the time and effort it takes. It would be a lot of hard work, and a lot of people just won't work hard. Some people are more cut out for it and it just comes more naturally, and yes, there are some people who will just never have what it takes to be a pop star. They are tone deaf or whatever, so that's why not everyone will be famous. If you are really serious and that's your dream, pull out all the stops and do whatever it takes! Go to the best vocal trainers and work, work, work!
