I heard the government is starting to say lethal injection is cruel and unusual? I think we should go back to hanging, we would have less crime if punishments would be carried out faster also.
What is your opinion? What type of execution should we have?
Should it be carried out faster?

How about back to the slow type of hanging, the one where they dont just drop you through the trap door.

Super Ruper, it also says in the old testament of the bible (same as 10 commandments) that children should be killed for disrespecting thier parents. Now Jesus has come to forgive but humans arent so easy to forget.

How about we give the family members of the victim, say, half an hour in a private room with the criminal? No questions asked.

There is really no good way to answer this question without sounding like a death monger. Anyhow, I think that if a person can rape and murder a 5 year old girl in the most brutal form thinkable, he should be begging for something as easy as lethal injection. If I had my way, the SOB would be cast to the four winds. Old school justice is the key, and would most likely keep a possible perpetrator from doing such awful crimes.

I am a new supporter of the death penalty. I think it should only be used in cases of especially cruel and guilt "certain". What qualifies as certain is another story. Jodi Arias is an example of someone deserving of the death penalty. It's not common for people to have a desire to have hanging brought back. I however would be in support of hanging as the means of all executions, the "drop method" used by the British until capital punishment was abolished. The length of the drop is based on weight to insure the neck breaks and the condemned is rendered unconscious. I've heard they may feel a sharp pain for up to half a second. You would barely have time to register it before things went black. If it was discovered the person was conscious, I would think there neck should be twisted to end their pain or pull on their legs to hasten their death. But that would be the question the would- be murderer may consider. I also think the entire experience of being hanged is appropriate for someone who has been deemed to deserve to forfeit their life. It would be traumatic and terrifying but that's the point. From the time they left their cell no more than 3 minutes should pass before they were dropped. I believe it should be as humane as possible! I think appeals are a necessity but the process needs to speed up. I think the process should by law, end after 18 months from sentencing. 30 days later the punishment would be carried out within prison walls. I do not take this lightly, I also wouldn't kill in a the cruel manner that I think deserves hanging.

I don't really support executions unless the crime was fully proved and major, like rape or murder. But I think the lethal injection would be the most optimum because it seems less cruel to me actually. Probably the least violent and least painful death to hope for at least.

Lethal injection is probably the quickest and least painful of all the usual methods.
Firing squad would be my second choice.
Bring back the Guillotine, quick and neat.
The Chair and hanging are a little too barbaric for my taste.

The only form of execution I would support is one which is carried out by the victim of the crime (or his/her family, in the event of the victim's death).
The brush chipper suggestion is a hoot, although if I, or one of my family members, was the victim, I would probably opt for something less efficient like removing their internal organs with a hand-held tiller.

If a person is sentenced to death they should not be allowed more than ONE appeal. There should be a time limit on appeals and then cook, fry, hang, inject.
People are more concerned about the criminals life, what about the rest of our lives.
Plus, why should we the people be forced to support them in our already over crowded prisons for the rest of their lives while waiting on their sentence being carried out.

beheading is fast and has NO pain involved at all and should be televised.to government places .such as court houses.where people can view the beheading .as long as they're over 16 years old.A family member of the slain person should be allowed to pull the lever.
This might be a way of deterrence
To Many people who murder only get jail time, usually their out in twenty years.most who murder should be put to death

My question is how is an injection cruel and unusual? How about a heroine overdose, would that work? They could go out tripping.

I don't believe in any form. And for all those Republicans out there who use the bible as their guideposts, you should go back to adhering to the Ten Commandments. 'Thou Shalt not Kill' is pretty straightforward and clear. Regardless of your opinions of the criminal, killing is immoral. Two wrongs do not make right.
