Ok, musically I would look to the circle of fifths to write a punk song. Basically, lets say you want to write a song in c, the next chord fitting in with c you can work out by counting five up the scale. It would be g. You can keep doing this for as long as you want, but after 4 chords i think you come back to c, hence circle of fifths.

Just find something that you like, something that inspires you, it could be anything you like! Once you master this, you'll be a great lyricist!
Remember if your going for a punk song, to try and moan and complain about things, it spices the song up =] GOOD LUCK!

the best part of punk is u can pretty much write about anything as long as it doesnt fall in the rap, rock, or anyother genre. that is y its alternative. i suggest u listen 2 sum green day cuz they have the most songs and the most variety of songs.
